At GIHD, we offer research-led certificate courses in Public Health & Research that are competency-based and practice-oriented. These courses provide participants with a cutting-edge, multidisciplinary education that will prepare them to become leaders in the Development sector and create an impact in their field. Our focus on public health will allow participants to build expertise in core public health concepts and customize their learning with skill development in areas like systematic review, qualitative research methodology, research design and quantitative research methodology, and prepare them for research grant writing and scientific publications.
These certificate courses are part of comprehensive two-year research capacity building program, led by the experienced faculty of GIHD with established track record in international research and publications.
Certificate Courses
GIHD currently offers 6-month professional certificate training programmes in public health and research methods. Drawing upon our latest research, the modules have been developed through an extensive consultative process involving international and national experts and trainers. In each certificate course, blended learning methodology will be applied i.e. participants will be able to learn through a combination of online courses (e- learning) and in-person teaching/training. Participants will be introduced to key concepts and a data set/practice site to be used as a worked example throughout that course.
Each course is designed to cater to the diversity in educational and professional backgrounds of our participants. Participants can take the entire course or individual modules of interest.
